Man Cleared in Burglar Shooting

To me this story raises some serious questions about our legal system.
Let us imagine that you, yes you, lock yourself out of your house. You know that one of the windows on the side is open. That window also faces your neighbor's house. You think "I'll just climb in there and get my keys".
Your neighbor sees an "unidentified butt" going into your window. If your neighbor calls the police, you will be a little embarrassed, but no harm has been done. However, if your neighbor opens fire with a shotgun, you could be in serious trouble.
I think I will talk to all my neighbors and tell them if they see someone breaking into my home, call the police, but do not open fire. It might be my own butt I save.

Sorry, I can't see how this could possibly be an accident. Not only can you see the difference in live rounds, but you can feel the difference when they are fired. Blanks produce almost no recoil. This moron fired at least 17 live rounds into a crowd of people, now the french command is saying it may have been accidental? BULL!
I am not sure what type of weapons the french are using, but on most US military weapons you need a special attachment on the barrel to fire blanks. This attachment will also cause the weapon to misfire and possibly explode if a live round is fired.
Maybe the US doesn't have their head-up-their-butt as far as some people believe.
Fire Bomb at Governors Mansion

I don't know which one of the many "la la lands" the State is living in, but in my little world, you have to do something really bad for someone to fire bomb your house!
"They" are saying it is politically motivated, even though there is no evidence to support the theory.
Let's see, who has the State of Texas pissed off lately? Wow, that would be a really long list. We have an incarceration level that makes China jealous, we are number one in executions, the state likes to kidnap children, etc., etc.
Someone decided to send a clear message. What exactly that message is, is yet to be seen, but the message is clear.
Someone is "messing with Texas". (all puns intended)
Your Tax Dollars at Work

14 million of your hard earned dollars will be spent attempting to seize children from a religious organization. This organization was simply trying to raise these children under their values and beliefs, which differ from mainstream society. Isn't there a Constitutional Amendment which bans this type of action by the State? Darn tootin' there is, it's called freedom of religion. Besides that, a child is under the control of their parents, unless they use illegal restraint, until they become of age.
I believe the State of Texas should be charged with a crime in this matter. Kidnapping, trespassing, or maybe embezzlement for mis-using our tax dollars. Somehow they need to be sent a clear message that this type of action will not be tolerated by the people of Texas.
Many people have followed this story from the beginning, why, because it makes you wonder. Will the State come and take your children because you told them to go weed the garden? Or maybe you told them they could not go out until they finished their chores?

Iran Still Working on Nukes

Maybe we should "airmail" some nukes to Iran, warheads armed, of course.
Even I can see the resemblance between the Iran president and one of the 1977 kidnappers.
I think we should solve this issue before it becomes a problem. The European Union is trying to stop them from building nuclear weapons, but everyone knows if they build them, they will not be aimed at Europe. They will be pointed at the United States.
More of these European countries need to get off their butts. If it was not for the United States, they would all be speaking German.
Iran will definitely be a problem. We can deal with it now, or pay the price later.
Guantanamo Bay Detainees

Well I see the suspected terrorist detainees are wanting their rights again. I truly believe they should be given the same rights they would receive in their own country. They publicly torture and kill our soldiers and civilians, we should publicly execute the detainees.
I understand that some of the detainees are American Citizens, and they should receive their rights as such, but those who are not, and who have been shown to collaborate with the enemy should be executed.
In my opinion, this would solve two problems. We would eliminate the cost of imprisoning them and the Supreme Court cannot assert the rights of dead people.
These people are a bunch of Muslim hypocrites. They call us infidels, but their own holy Koran supports the accuracy of the Bible. The Koran makes many references to the Bible and it never says that the Bible is wrong, in fact it states, "All who believe will see the face of God" including Jews and Christians. It also states that a Muslim should never attack outside of their homeland, yet they did exactly that during 911.
We should hold them to their own standards.
Majority No Longer Rules in California

In the year 2000 61.4% of California voters replied that they did not want to recognize same-sex marriage. A few days ago, the California Supreme Court said the majority was being overruled.
Sounds like dictatorship to me. If the government of California refuses to recognize a majority vote, they need to be removed. This is the beginning of Communism in the United States.
How long will it be before the other states start trying to do the same?
Morals are dictated by the people, NOT the government. When the government passes a crime law, most of the people knew it was wrong already, but when the government tells me that I must recognize something that goes against the moral laws that this great country was founded upon, they have gone too far.
How long will it be before someone is in jail, or cleaned out in civil court, because they refused to recognize a same-sex marriage?
It has always been my understanding, both morally and legally, that marriage had two purposes. 1. To recognize the "couple." 2. To legitimize any children produced.
Gay couples cannot produce children so they have destroyed half of the sanctity of marriage by passing this law. You are not adding to this great country, you are simply destroying the moral fiber of our society.
Get married all you want, I will not recognize it, and you can't make me do it!
78 Year Old Hit By Car

This is the story everybody was screaming about, because no one would help this man laying in the street.
"City officials later acknowledged that police received four 911 calls immediately after the incident, and release portions of two calls on Friday."
What can you expect when our schools, and even our government, are teaching the "Don't be a hero" doctrine. I remember hearing it 20 years ago. They say do not touch an injured person without the proper safety equipment, because of the risk of blood born pathogens. I say BULL.
Not one bystander had the guts to go out into that road to help this man. Are we a nation of cowards? Do you people really believe that if you are in trouble, the police, or paramedics, will always be there in time to help? Get your head out of the sand.
I am glad to say this would not have happened in East Texas. I recently came upon an accident scene on a local FM road. There were 3 vehicles blocking the road. None of the 3 vehicles blocking the road were involved in the accident. They were citizens stopping to see if they could help. I also stopped, I was informed that the police and EMS had been called and that there was nothing I could do to help. Since I had not witnessed the accident, I left.
If someone had needed my help, I would have helped.
Our society has produced too many sheep.
Air Powered Car

I recently saw an article about an air powered car that will be in production soon in Europe. It runs on compressed air, has range of over 100 miles, and costs about $3.00 to fill up.

Why aren't we building these things in the greatest country on earth? This is the country that invented the light bulb!
Instead of mass producing these cars, the sheep in this country just keep buying the gas hogs and paying the price at the pump. What is wrong with this picture? Does gas have to reach $10 a gallon before I can go to the dealership and buy one of these things?
You say you feel safe in your big gas hog? You say you need it?
Every single day, I see hundreds of these hogs go by on the highway with only the driver. No passengers, no cargo. I can walk through any parking lot in town and find several pickups without a scratch in the bed. Wake up people!
If you quit buying the hogs, eventually they will go the way of the Dodo bird. You don't know what a Dodo is?? Look it up, you're on the internet, you moron!
